Physics puzzler Pull My Tongue goes free as Apple’s App of the Week

May 19, 2016 by macjeff

Apple on Thursday updated its App of the Week promotion with the game Pull My Tongue. This means that for the next 7 days, you’ll be able to download the popular physics puzzler for both iPhone and iPad for free—a solid savings of $1.

For those unfamiliar with the title, players are tasked with helping feed popcorn to a hungry chameleon named Greg. You do this by pulling his tongue through a series of fun puzzles that include zappers, spikes, chewing gum and balloons.

From the App Store Editors’ Notes:

Greg the chameleon loves popcorn, and he’s willing to stretch his tongue around all kinds of frightful obstacles to get at it. This captivatingly cute puzzler has a simple goal—pull the chipper lizard’s tongue to the crunch kernels, picking up as many stars as possible along the way—but introduces new twists and turns throughout its 90 levels. Moving pegs, whirling blades, arcing electricity, and more will have you flexing your brain as much as Greg’s tongue. Suddenly, the price of movie theater popcorn doesn’t seem all that unreasonable.

And here’s a clip of the game in action:
