Kickstart, Disflow, 24FPS and other apps to check out this weekend

June 08, 2019 by RSS Feed

In this week’s edition of our Apps of the Week roundup we have an all-new habit-tracker, a photo editor that can animate images, and a powerful video editor. And as always, we’ve selected two great new games for you to check out.

Kickstart

In the modern world of high-speed life and fast information streams, it can be hard for you to live healthy. That’s where Kickstart comes in. The app helps you improve the habits that will make your life healthier, more effective and more relaxed. You can create your own habits or choose from the pre-made templates. I don’t see a ton of features here that separate Kickstart from other habit-trackers, but I really dig the UI and the price is right.

Disflow – Motion photos

If you’re looking to spruce up your Instagram photos, you have to check out Disflow. It’s a super powerful photo editing and animation tool that makes it super easy to make your images move. Simply paint over an area on a photo to add motion, and you can even add multiple layers of effects. As you’d expect, most of the features are protected by a rather expensive subscription plan, but again if you’re looking to make your IG posts pop, this app is for sure worth a look.

24FPS

Give your videos an authentic, cinematic look with the app 24FPS. It uses built-in A.I. that learns your color aesthetics overtime to recommend unique effects. It’s also loaded with features such as image stabilization, inertia zoom, face-thinning and skin-smoothing effects, the ability to add audio and much more. Unfortunately, it too has a subscription plan, but if you run the free trial and like it, it’s more than worth the few bucks per month.

Aurora Hex

Aurora Hex is a relaxing and soothing puzzle game in which you link matching pieces together to discover beautiful hidden patterns. It’s easy to pick up and play, and there are thousands of unique puzzles to explore. The puzzles get more difficult as you progress, and there’s a hint system to help you out if you get stuck. Like beautiful visuals and soothing background music? This game might just be for you.

Talking Tom Hero Dash

Looking for something a little more action packed? Try Talking Tom Hero Dash. Talking Tom and his friends are back in this delightful endless runner that has you collecting gold coins, avoiding obstacles and taking out…raccoons. The game has you running through awesome worlds—everything from skyscrapers to tropical beaches—performing exciting stunts and fighting in epic boss battles.
