Drop Flip ( $1.99 → FREE )

But don’t let the minimalistic visuals fool you. The 100 levels range from quite easy to maddeningly impossible. Drop Flip also supports progress syncing via iCloud.

Word Triangle ( $1.99 → FREE )

We really like Word Triangle because it’s familiar yet different. Each puzzle consists of seven clues and seven words, starting with one letter on top and a seven letter word on the bottom. You must work your way down the triangle coming up with words that match the clues. You’re assisted by the fact that each word in the triangle uses the letters from the previous word, but in a different order. The game includes a total of 250 puzzles.

Core: Seekers of Light , Digit Shelves , Sero and more

Universal:

Core: Seekers of Light ( $0.99 → FREE )

Core is a minimalistic castle defense game. Surrounding your base are a collection of nodes which not only act as your defenses but also as unit deployment mechanisms. Drag a path from the nodes towards your enemy’s base to attack. As the path lights up, you’ll discover a variety of other nodes that you can use to your advantage. Your units can also act as a secondary line of defense. Just keep an eye on your energy levels, because if they’re low you’ll be left defenseless for a short time.

Digit Shelves ( $0.99 → FREE )

Digit Shelves presents you with five different numbers: 10, 20, 100, 500, and 1,000. Each number has spaces to fill with more numbers. At the bottom of the screen you’ll be presented with a random number, and you must place it in a space with a drag and drop. The idea is to fill the spaces with numbers in order to create the largest possible numbers without going over.

Sero ( $0.99 → FREE )

Sero is a little ball that launches from a tube with a tap. But before ever doing so, you must manipulate the puzzle pieces in order to not only guide Sero safely to the goal but also collecting all of the triangles along the way. The triangles must be collected in a specific order, and you’ll immediately know when something is amiss by paying close attention to the lights on the goal. The game includes 60 levels in all.

Shift Editor & Quick Lookup ( $1.99 → FREE )

Shift is more than your everyday text editor. Sure, it has full Markdown support, allowing you to format text however you see fit. But what makes it stand out is its ability to reference Wikipedia, Google, and any other website with ease. Shift’s built-in browser automatically displays text in your custom color scheme and chosen font while also removing all of the clutter. Shift also includes Dropbox support, the ability to create presets, and MathJax support.

Who Was? Adventure ( $0.99 → FREE )

Who Was? Adventure has a rather unique mechanic for a trivia game. The heads of famous figures will drop down into the screen. It’s up to you to tap on the person described at the bottom as quickly as possible. Each correct selection will remove the head from the screen, freeing up valuable space. If you guess incorrectly, the head you tapped on will remain and more and more will fill the screen. Power-ups and other objects will also populate the screen. The game includes 85 levels, an arcade mode, and more than 4,500 questions.

iOS 10 problems and the solutions to deal with them

August 28, 2016 by macjeff

1article

Apple is set to update its mobile operating system to iOS 10 very soon, and it has a lot going for it. The biggest additions will change how people use their iOS devices in the future — transforming the way they write and send texts, interact with notifications, and use Siri within apps. The new version of iOS has been in beta for a while now, but the beta was only recently made available to the public, meaning thousands of people are now experiencing iOS 10 prior to its official release. People are getting to grips with new features, but there are also some iOS 10 problems that Apple needs to deal with.

Related: Apple clears up data privacy concerns over iOS 10

Fortunately, making the beta available to the public will result in more bugs, glitches, hardware and software issues being discovered, which should give Apple a chance to fix them before the OS’ official release in the fall. That said, it’s always convenient to have one place to find any and all iOS 10 problems, which is where we come in. We’ve scoured as many forums as we could to find the biggest problems people have run into while using the iOS 10 beta, and provided workarounds and solutions for as many of them as we can.

Problem: Battery drain

The iOS 10 beta 7 release, as well as other versions before it, have caused excessive battery drain for some people, even when the iOS device is being used normally. The problem isn’t universal, as many people report that their batteries are performing as expected, but if you’re using iOS 10, you should be prepared to charge your phone more than usual.

Potential solutions:
