Apple’s free app of the week: Drop Flip

Apple’s free app of the week: Drop Flip

June 09, 2016 by macjeff

Apple on Thursday updated its App of the Week promotion with the game Drop Flip. This means that for the next 7 days, you’ll be able to download the popular physics puzzler for free on both iPhone and iPad—a solid savings of $2.

For those unfamiliar with the title, Drop Flip is a delightful game chock-full of silly physics contraptions. Players must move, flip and manipulate obstacles of every shape and size to force the ball into a bucket. It’s a lot harder than it sounds.

From the App Store Editors’ Notes:

A deceptively simple physics puzzler, Drop Flip has you turn your screen into wacky Rube Goldberg contraptions to send a ball into a bucket. Since no path is a straight shot, you’ll need to figure out which obstacles to manipulate, and which to leave alone, to clear every level. Gorgeous minimalist graphics, steadily increasing complexity, and multiple ways to solve most puzzles deliver a whimsical experience full of clever challenges.

And here’s a clip of the game in action:

Drop Flip is available in the App Store for free.
