Apple’s free app of the week: Impossible Road

October 06, 2016 by macjeff

Apple on Thursday updated its App of the Week promotion with the game Impossible Road. This means that for the next 7 days, you can pick up the popular arcade racer for both iPhone and iPad for free—a solid savings of $3.

In Impossible Road, you must guide your vessel down the roller coaster-like track at high speeds, scoring through each gate you make it through. Navigate hair-pin turns, jumps and banked curves in a quest for the perfect line.

From the App Store Editors’ Notes:

How far can you roll a sphere down a super-steep, never-ending ramp before falling off? Find out in this devilishly tough but instantly accessible score-based racing game—a masterpiece whose simple controls and wonderfully minimalist presentation will keep you coming back again and again. Whether you stick to the road with precision driving or fling yourself into the unknown with wild jumps, you’ll be engrossed and pushed to your limits.

And here’s a clip of the game in action:

Impossible Road is available in the App Store for free.
