Mr. White is an everyday cat that dreams of being something more. You must collect life changing data modules on your way through a colorful universe in order to allow him to change his form. The game features whimsical character and level designs that make it a joy to run, jump, and pounce on your enemies. Keep an eye out for hidden paths along the way because the data modules won’t always be in plain sight.
WordHue utilizes classic word game mechanics and gives them a colorful twist. You’re presented with a five-by-five letter tile grid. The letter tiles start off as white, and every time you create a valid word they’ll change color. The first color change will match the color meter at the bottom. Try to create words using the matching tiles in order to earn more turns or time. Every time you use a letter tile, its value will increase. Do your best to avoid creating three letter words as they’ll block out the letter tiles for a short period of time. The game includes two modes, daily challenges, and unlockable color schemes.
After picking a photo from your library or a snapping a new one within the app, you're able to scale and position it on the wall. The moment your fingers leave the screen, your photo will be turned into graffiti. You can then adjust parameters, change filters, freely paint on the wall, and even tag your work. When everything looks in order, you can share your work of art via Facebook, Twitter, or email.

It’s been a long week here at iDB, with Apple unveiling the long-awaited iPhone 7, and pre-orders going live on Friday. So now that it’s the weekend, we’re ready to kick back and relax, and what better way to do that than checking out some new apps and games?
Bubo is a beautiful new time/task management app for iPhone. It allows you to input tasks, set a time limit, and track your progress. Over time the app will analyze your behavior, giving you helpful data like average time it takes to complete a task, and projects on how long a particular task will take you. Sure it’s not going to be for everyone, but I really like the minimal design language here, and think this could make for a good productivity/habit-former for those who want to commit to get things done. This app is available for $0.99.
Whether you like to frequently work remotely from a cafe or coffee shop, or you’re on vacation and need to do so in a pinch, you’re going to want to check out Café Wifi. The app was designed for users to easily share and access information regarding various “workable spaces.” Are the drinks good? How fast is the Wi-Fi? What is the seating like? These are all questions Café Wifi aims to answer. It’s easy to navigate, works worldwide, and is only going to improve as more users sign up. This app is available for free.
Here is kind of a fun app to play around with this weekend. It’s called Odio, and it’s essentially like Vine for GIFs. You can record/import your favorite moments and turn them into GIFs. Then you can add color filters and audio, and share your creation on Odio or other social networks. Clips can be hash-tagged for easier discovery, and you can follow other users, as well as like and comment on their posts. I’m not necessarily sold on the platform side here, but it seems like a great app for quickly creating GIFs with audio. Odio is available for free.
In Vertigo Racing, you put the pedal to the metal and hurtle your way through stunning, vertiginous landscapes in gorgeous 50’s-era automobiles! Travel as far and as fast as you can without falling to your death. There are a number of tracks to choose from, and challenges to complete, and of course you can customize your vehicle with a fancy paint job and under-the-hood improvements. This game is made by EA’s Chillingo team, which has produced a number of hits, and the graphics look beautiful. Vertigo Racing is available for free.
Rubek is a gorgeous, minimalist color-based puzzle game. Roll a cube to pick up and match correct colors on the floor, as you make your way to reach the end point while figuring out a way to solve the puzzles. Play through 70+ handcrafted levels of mind bending difficulty and collect stars to compete on the global leaderboards. Rubek looks great on both iPhone and iPad, and there is even an accessibility feature with color blind options. This game is available for $1.99.
