Apple on Thursday updated its App of the Week promotion with the app Day One Journal. For the next 7 days, you can snag the popular journaling app for free on both iPhone and iPad—a solid savings of $5.

From the App Store Editors’ Notes:

It’s hard to make the best even better, but the sequel to Day One lives up to expectations—and then some. The app smartly keeps its interface streamlined but adds a wealth of new features that we’ve found immensely valuable. Your journal entries contain all sorts of information—you can geolocate them, add tons of photos to each entry, and even see your day’s fitness activity. You can switch over to a beautiful new photo view when you’re ready to see your world at a glance.

Note: along with this promotion, it appears that Day One Journal has decided to launch a subscription service called Day One Premium. You can read all of the details here, but my understanding is that all of the features in this app will still work without a subscription.

Pixel Adventure Stickers ( $0.99 → Free ) Alexander Bourlotos Pixel Adventure Stickers is a delightful throwback to the good old days of gaming. It includes 16 stickers themed around magic and adventure. You’ll find mana, health potions, treasures, weapons, and more. Just peel and stick.

Sero ( $0.99 → Free ) JAKE HAUGEN Sero is a little ball that launches from a tube with a tap. But before ever doing so, you must manipulate the puzzle pieces in order to not only guide Sero safely to the goal but also collecting all of the triangles along the way. Each task must include a start and end time, which allows you to keep track of the time spent. Time Manager will break down recent trends and present them as graphs. You’re also able to create reports and export them for record keeping.

Leader Task is an incredibly well designed app that will help you keep track of your daily “to-do” lists, meetings, and important projects.

Leader Task, developed by Organizer LeaderTask, LLC, does all that for you and so much more to make sure you never miss another event.

Features

The Leader Task app opens up with you adding daily tasks, events, or assignments that you want to be notified or reminded of.

You can start with the actual day or skip ahead to a future date by selecting from the side calendar menu option.

When viewing the daily lists, you can sort them by term, color, and/or just show the tasks that have already been completed.

Additional setting options allow you to alter various features such as text formatting, reminder notifications, synchronization, language preference, and so on.

You can also invite others, such as co-workers or employees, to view your calendar by adding them to your contacts list and forming contact groups.

Appearance and Layout

Leader Task, with its simplistic and easy to use format, makes it a cinch to use, whether you are a first time user or a consistent user.
