50 Miles Features Endless Racing

50 Miles Racing Game

50 Miles is an action-packed street racing game for iPhone and iPad. The game is published by Gamejuice and made its debut on the App Store on March 29, 2016.

Gamejuice describes the game by saying, “50 Miles is a racing game to traverse a continent. The downtown, beach, snow path, wet path, and dark mountain path continue without loading. You can enjoy endless speeding if you have enough fuel. Everything is prepared such as nitro, booster, cargo, and slipstream for a great number of thrills.”

Most racing games feature a set start and finish point, but 50 Miles is designed differently because the player’s only limitation is the amount of gas in their fuel tank.

Featuring 21 different tracks for players to experience and 28 cars to purchase, 50 Miles is designed to take players on the ultimate thrill ride through all kinds of terrain and in every weather condition. Players can even unlock special rare cars by completing objectives.

50 Miles allows plenty of room for player advancement by incorporating a level system. Players can increase their level by playing and can access new cars and perks over time.

For achievement junkies, 50 Miles fully supports Game Center and includes 14 achievements to earn. There are also global leaderboards, allowing players all around the world to compete with each other for racing glory.

A recent update to 50 Miles, released on April 26th, enhanced environmental visuals. Minor improvements and bug fixes were made, and a link to the official Facebook page for the game was added.

50 Miles is the first app published on the App Store by Gamejuice. They recently released a second app, Wonder Jump Cosplay, which is a free jump rope game for iPhone and iPad.

50 Miles is available to download on the App Store for free and is universally compatible with iPhone and iPad. It requires iOS 7.0 or later to run.

Make a Difference with Save the Park!

May 07, 2016 by macjeff

Save the Park iPhone Game Review

Save the Park is a fantastic running-character game that brings players for a challenging trip through some fun park terrains.

Free for downloading, Save the Park has been created in partnership with American Express and the National Park Foundation as part of this year’s celebration of the 2016 Centennial of the National Park Service.

Features:

Save the Park by Games For Change is yet another running-challenge app following the popular (and successful) model set up by other similar apps. Three different “park” scenes keep the challenges diverse.

Save the Park sets itself apart from other runner games by letting you control two characters simultaneously, adding to the challenge. Characters are all developed as different “junior rangers” at the parks complete with mini biographies regarding their personal interests.

The pace of this game is fast enough to be challenging and slow enough to be doable. Players who are familiar with the runner-game format should have no problem at all getting the hang of it.

Instead of just being an app that challenges your fast-thinking and finger-swiping abilities, Save the Park is notable for also being an app that raises awareness of the importance of the US national park system; every download of this game results in a donation towards preserving our national parks.

Save the Park does not require an Internet connection to play, making it a great app for traveling with kids.

Appearance and Layout:

Graphics aren’t really the strong point of this app. Characters are very cartoonish and backgrounds within levels are equally simple.

There is, however, a decent level of detail throughout the app that keeps things exciting. Even though the illustrations are simplistic they have a somewhat charming quality to them.

Easy to understand directions keep you informed throughout the game, and the layout makes Save the Park a perfectly playable app for all ages.

Value:

There are no in-app purchases to deal with making this a great game for parents to let their children play. The graphics aren’t anything spectacular, but they are on par with other similarly styled running challenge apps.

Even though Save the Park is a free app to download and play, the American Express Foundation has promised to donate $1 to the US National Park Foundation for every download of this app completed before the end of the year (up to $50,000). This makes your download of this fun app well worth the time.

If you’re an adult who is looking for a great night out, sometimes a casino is the perfect place to go. Offerings reach far beyond table games and slot machines; you can almost always catch a live show or go shopping as well.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is a helpful and informative app that tells you all about their casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You can check rewards balances, see upcoming events and much more!

Concept and Functionality:

Unlike most casino apps, Rivers Casino Pittsburgh by Rivers Casino Pittsburgh doesn’t exclusively feature games. Instead, the app is designed to serve as a directory for anyone who is interested in seeing what the casino offers.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh does a great job of making sure the user isn’t confused by tricky menus. Everything is accessible from the main menu and all information is organized well.

But Rivers Casino Pittsburgh isn’t just a directory app. You can play casino games strictly for fun. This is great for anyone who wants to enjoy the casino experience without risking a dime.

Along with easy navigation, this app offers the option to enable location services and notifications so that you never miss an event or announcement.

There is, however, one drawback to the location services feature. Unless you manually disable the “always on” option, the app will possibly kill your iPhone battery because the GPS doesn’t shut off. This can be fixed by changing the settings to “while using the app” from “always on”.

Value:

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh can be downloaded from the App Store for free and is universally compatible with iPhone and iPad. Players don’t have to worry about mandatory in-app purchases or other paid upgrades in order to enjoy Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s features.

Overall, Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is a great app for checking out the events at the physical casino and/or playing games for fun. Not only is the Rivers Casino Pittsburgh app built well, but it’s fun to use, too.

Democrats and Republicans will Have Fun with Mr Trumpy

May 06, 2016 by macjeff

Are you a Democrat? A Republican? This is one time when it doesn’t matter. Mr Trumpy lets everyone have fun with this lighthearted approach to the current political season.

Free through the iTunes Store, this app is a fun twist on the popular run-jump gaming format.

Features:

The idea of a run-jump-fly format for an app is anything but new, but this app takes the fun of this simple concept in gameplay to an all new level.

Mr Trumpy, by Scott Singer, gives players the fun of controlling the app’s main character through all of the levels of the app–a main character who is the the inspiration behind the name of the game.

However, despite his current political actions, Mr Trumpy is far from being a serious political app.

Instead, the app lets you control a comical character of “Mr Trumpy” through various levels of run-jump-fly mazes. Levels are appropriately difficult; it will probably take you awhile to get the hang of the speed of Mr. Trumpy, but it is doable.

Starting out, the pace of the challenges/obstacles of the app is definitely appropriate. In-app ads do play between games though, so these slow down your chance of getting into sort of rhythm of gameplay.

Appearance and Layout:

Mr Trumpy iPhone App Review

Mr Trumpy iPhone App Review

Graphics aren’t the strong point of this app, but a focus on appearance definitely isn’t the intent of this app either.

In-app character’s heads tend to look a bit blurry at times, but the identity of characters is never really in doubt; you can certainly tell who everyone is meant to represent in Mr Trumpy.

Likewise, the background graphics are nothing particularly praiseworthy, but this lack in detail doesn’t really detract from the overall focus of the app.

The layout of Mr Trumpy, on the other hand, does not leave any room for complaints. It’s easy to get around the app, and no introductory videos are needed at all.

Value:

This is a free app, but you “pay” for your entertainment with frequent ads. While it’s understood that free apps needs to be able to generate profit somehow, the frequency of these ads makes it hard to really get into a rhythm with the game; in-app ads tend to be pretty long video style ones, and you’re probably more likely to close the app instead of waiting around to try the level again.

Overall, Mr Trumpy is an entertaining little app, but it’s hard to recommend it over other similar run-jump games (unless, of course, you truly do love to get to be the one to control Mr Trump).

Stop Crushing Candy and Give Glass Balls a Shot

May 03, 2016 by macjeff

Glass Balls iPhone Game

Glass Balls iPhone Game

In the sea of match 3 games such as Candy Crush and Bejeweled, Glass Balls stands out from the crowd. This game from ZF Digital differs from all of the similar games with the unique background and graphics, even if it isn’t too revolutionary.

Glass Balls is great for users that love match 3 puzzle games and are looking for a fun new challenge. It is great for new users too and it is obvious that the developers put in a lot of work to create a spectacular game.

Concept and Gameplay

The concept is well-known, but in this game there are adjustments to make things look more interesting and unique. You need to connect at least 3 game colored glass balls to destroy them.

The gameplay is thus familiar and it is truly functional going at just about the perfect pace. Glass Balls can really be a great past time as it is smartly thought out and wonderfully implemented.

Glass Balls iPhone Game

Glass Balls iPhone Game

In addition to its polished looks, this game is using a great physics engine so the gameplay is terrific. There aren’t any grids (like in 90% of the other match 3 puzzle games) and you can connect the balls in any direction and they can go anywhere.

Of course, the more you connect, the more points you will get. They’ve done a great job with the graphics and sound, because the effects are indeed amazing and highly enjoyable.

Features

Whereas you need to connect three balls to eliminate them, connecting more will earn you more points and there are “special bombs” that will triple or seriously boost your score.

This game also features 3 different game modes including Classic, which is fantastic. You need to race against the timer and that makes things really exciting, especially as you progress.

In the Rush mode the glass balls will come up to you continuously and they will speed up gradually. You need to be fast and effective because when the bowl fills up, you will lose the game.

The Infinite Mode is far more relaxing. You can finish your game and post your score whenever you want.

This great feature of choosing a game mode depending on your mood is nice. If you think you have achieved a good high score, you can compare it with other players or your friends on the leaderboard where you will find tons of Achievements.

Conclusion

Great graphics, unique set ups, cool sound effects, beautiful typography and 3 different game modes are enough to make this one of the best match 3 games for your iOS device. With the additional challenges available in the Game Center, it gets even more entertaining.

This is definitely not one of those low quality match 3 game reskins; it is a cool, professional and enjoyable game.
