Mercury Weather has everything you’re probably looking for in a weather app. With a clean and beautiful design, the app has accurate forecasts, radar, and much more.
The app has just been updated to version 3.0 with a number of new and notable features.
Hurricane trackers will enjoy two of the new features. A new storm layers on the map screen will show live hurricane information like current position, forecast path, and cone of uncertainty.
The path of the storm is shown with color-coded intensity scales with selectable data points across the path of the storm. Those include speed, pressure, and movements. The storm on the screen spin based on the intensity level and rotate depending on hemisphere.
Another new addition is a hurricane widget for your home screen. You can track a specific storm or monitor the closest storm in the Atlantic, Pacific, or both.
You can now also view a 24-hour UV forecast available from the UV label in the top weather card. When the AQI is expected to reach moderate are higher levels, you will also see it on the app.
For the United States and Canada, the update brings a 48-hour tide forecast when viewing weather near the coast.

The new game Minotaur is perfect for any age. A labor of love between developer Morten Gregersen and his 7-year-old son Andreas, the game is all about creating and sharing mazes with family and friends.
Creating mazes is easy for anyone. There are two different options to create one. First, you can tap and drag walls to knock them down to create a maze. Alternatively, there is a navigator to move around and draw the maze. I tried both versions, and each one was simple.
There is also a color-blind mode that allows you to distinguish paths and mazes more easily in the maze.
If you’re looking for some inspiration, head to the Home button to see what mazes Morten, Andreas, and other have created.
Once you’ve created a maze, you can invite participants to download the app and try it or even share as an image so anyone can give it a try. You can also send in the maze to be featured in the Home section.
Each attempt of a maze records time and steps so you can compare with others.
Minotaur is a free download now on the App Store for the iPhone and all iPad models. There is also an optional, one-time in-app purchase of $4.99 or $9.99. Either of those unlocks an unlimited number of saved mazes and show different kinds of confetti when you escape a maze.
