Apple Unveils New iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, Vision Pro With M5 Chip

Apple has just unveiled a trio of new products powered by the M5 chip. Here’s what you need to know.
iPad Pro
Apple’s iPad Pro with M5 chip delivers up to 3.5 times the AI performance compared to the previous M4 model.
An optional cellular modem is the Apple-designed C1X chip that delivers up to 50 percent faster cellular data performance compared to the previous model with greater efficiency.
The M5 chip feature a 10-core GPU and a faster 16-core Neural Engine. The 10-core CPU features four performance cores and six efficiency cores.
Another Apple-designed chip, the N1, brings Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support. It will bring better performance when connected to 5GHz networks along with improving the overall performance of Personal Hotspot and AirDrop.
With Apple’s 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max, you can unlock fast charging to a 50 percent charge in around 30 minutes.
The new iPad Pro starts at $999 for the 11-inch Wi-Fi only version. There is also a 13-inch model available. Both options can also add a cellular modem for $200 more.
Pre-orders start today with the tablets officially arriving next week on Wednesday, October 22. You can choose from a space black or silver model.
MacBook Pro
The new MacBook Pro with M5 sports up to 3.5 times the AI performance and up to 1.6 times faster graphics than the previous generation of laptop.
Another big leap is battery life, which is up to 24 hours of use on a single charge.
SSD performance is up to twice as fast as the previous generation, and users can choose up to 4TB of storage.
Available in space black or silver, the 14-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,599. Pre-orders start today with purchases arriving next week on Wednesday, October 22.
Vision Pro
The M5 chip also helps the Apple Vision Pro become even faster.
With the chip, the Vision Pro renders 10 percent more pixels on the display and an increased refresh rate of 120Hz for reduced motion blur.
Battery life is also improved with 2 1/2 hours of general use and 3 hours of video playback on a single charge.
Also new is a Dual Knit Band that provides an even more comfortable fit.
The Apple Vision Pro starts at $3,499. You can pre-order today with purchases arriving next week on Wednesday, October 22.

Meditation has a huge number of benefits like stress reduction and much more. And the new app Rhythm allows anyone to use an Apple Watch, or even the new AirPods Pro 3, to meditate in a unique way.
The app uses your heartbeat to create one-minute check ins. Your heartbeat is synced with audio, visuals, and even haptics to provide a mind-body connection. There’s no need to worry about mantras or complex techniques.
Along with the Apple Watch and new AirPods Pro, the app also works with the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 and any Bluetooth-enabled heart rate monitor. There’s also a heart rate simulator so you can try the app out even if you don’t have any of that hardware.
I use other apps with longer periods of meditation, but really enjoyed using Rhythm, especially with my AirPods Pro 3. It was a great feeling to clear my head and only focus on the sound of my heartbeat. Give it a try if you’re new to meditation, or if you’re looking for something quick to fit in during even the busiest of days.

Tiny Wings
Tap to dive and release your finger from the screen to soar into the sky. Tiny Wings is a great example of how smart physics can create super-simple (but nevertheless hugely entertaining) gameplay.
Your aim in Tiny Wings is simple: keep on flying, for as long (and as far) as you can. As a bird, you can hold your finger on the screen to nose-dive down and towards one of countless slopes which are scattered across the landscape. Provided you time it just right, this can result in a boost of speed as your tiny winged bird slides and soars of its target slope.
Tiny Wings is simply one of the most addictive iOS games we’ve ever played. It offers a heck of a lot of satisfaction (there’s nothing better than timing your descent just right in order to slide off a slope and into the air), and it features nice graphics and sound effects. Halfbrick’s often imitated but never duplicated original fruit slicing game is a great piece of software for iOS. Your goal is to slide virtual fruit as it appears on-screen. This might sound simple, but it’s nevertheless a therapeutic and exciting game (thanks to the presence of several different game modes).
So, you slice as many different types of fruit as possible. Great. But Fruit Ninja offers so much more: fruit chains, a Zen Mode, and multiplayer make it a title we keep on coming back to, time and time again.
This is definitely a title iOS developers have imitated (ahem, “taken inspiration from”) in the years following Fruit Ninja’s original release. Because of this, it’s a genre-defying App Store classic, and is definitely a title all iOS gamers should take for a spin.

This game is the real deal: it’s fun, addictive, features great graphics, and cute characters. It’s also part of a huge Angry Birds game series which you can work through.

Football Manager 26 Touch Lands on Apple Arcade in November

Soccer fans should mark their calendars on November 4 as Apple Arcade will add another great sports game.
Football Manager 26 Touch
On that day, Football Manager 26 Touch will land on the subscription gaming service.
The soccer management simulator features a upgraded graphics simulator to detail smoother player movement along with on-pitch details.
Other great features include women’s football along with Premier League licenses.
“We’re delighted to be bringing FM26 Touch back to Apple Arcade for the start of this new era for Football Manager,” said Miles Jacobson, Sports Interactive’s studio director. “We think the reimagined user interface will really enhance the experience across Apple devices. In addition, the arrival of the Premier League fully licensed and the introduction of women’s football will further deepen exploration for Arcade players.”
Three Other New Titles
Two days later, on November 6, Apple Arcade will also add three new titles.
The first two, MySims and MySims Kingdom, are spinoffs to the hugely popular The Sims franchise.
Toca Boca Jr Classic is a compilations of Toca Boca Jr’s most poplar games that allow children’s imagination to run free.
