I have finally reached a new landmass in Divinity - Original Sin 2. I left Fort Joy, ventured through the Hollow Marshes, finished my harrowing boat journey aboard the Lady Vengeance, and am just now disembarking to explore Driftwood. As highly anticipated as this new region was, I have to say I'm a little disappointed by it.
If I didn't know any better, I'd assume I was back at Fort Joy and the Hollow Marshes. There isn't anything particularly visually distinct about Driftwood, though I guess I'm ok with new NPCs to interact with and quests to take on. There is also the main quest to follow, though that just seems to be "go find so-and-so so they can tell me where to go next." Fascinating stuff.
This also seems to be where Divinity - Original Sin 2 takes its training wheels off. In these play sessions I had to spend a significant amount of time (not while recording), re-arranging my gear and setting up quick save points because I found myself running up against some really challenging fights. In the process of doing this, I finally discovered how to identify items, which--in typical arcane PC game fashion--requires you to give unidentified items and an identifying glass to a specific kind of character in your party before you can do it.
It's these kinds of design choices that really make me question whether all of the complexity Divinity - Original Sin 2 touts is really that worth it. Is there really a compelling reason to separate inventory management like this? Can this game's interlocking systems really come together to make passing items between party members an important tactical or strategic consideration as you play? So far, all signs are pointing to no. All I'm getting from it is tedium, particularly when managing everything on a relatively small 11 inch screen.
That said, a number of things upon visiting Driftwood have caught my attention as super-detailed interactions the likes of which few games on mobile can replicate. For starters, one of my party members turns out to be a wanted man in town, and I've had to disguise him using a magical helmet. I also successfully outed a man who cons people by abusing his dog and pretending it's sick instead.
These are the kinds of things that are keeping me going through Divinity - Original Sin 2 and will fuel my continued pursuit of covering it in painstaking detail. The only thing that will stop me at this point is the game perhaps getting too difficult. The end of my second video is me hitting yet another Game Over screen in an encounter with magisters, which I hope to overcome the next time I pick the game up. Until the next entry!

Terraria can be full of weird bosses. Think about it, you fight the Eye of Cthulhu and the Brain of Cthulhu, but you never meet Cthulhu. Either way, you’ll meet the Eye before the Brain.
If you’ve just started playing Terraria, the Eye of Cthulhu is the first fight in the game. The gimmick here is that the boss is very likely to catch you off guard. To prepare you for the fight, here’s a quick Terraria boss guide!
To summon the Eye of Cthulhu, you don’t need to do much. All you need is to gather 200 HP from Life Hearts, 10 defense up, and have four NPCs out and about. The Traveling Merchant also counts as an NPC.

As soon as these conditions are met, the Eye shows up. Do keep an eye out for the Eye of Cthulhu. If you’re not attentive, the Eye will creep up on you.
After beating the Eye once, it is often farmed for drops. You can summon the Eye later with a Suspicious Looking Eye. To make a Suspicious Looking Eye, you need six lenses. You can put these together on a Crimson Altar or Demon Altar.
The Eye of Cthulhu is the first boss you go head-to-head with. Considering that the boss battles get harder as you move forward, the Eye of Cthulhu is relatively easy to defeat.
Try to build some platforms to jump around and dodge the boss. These platforms will be super-important if you only have a melee weapon.

The Eye of Cthulhu has two phases – a regular one and another that’s more aggressive. Obviously, it gets up close and personal during the aggressive cycle. At this point, it does the most damage. After attacking you three times in a row, the boss will pause. This is when you strike.
To beat the Eye of Cthulhu, you can use any ranged weapon, like a bow and arrow or guns. Anything that has a range will be effective against the boss.
Melee weapons aren’t very useful against the main boss. A gold or platinum sword will help you slay the Servants of Cthulhu. But to kill the boss quickly, ranged weapons like a gold or platinum bow with flaming or regular arrows will be effective.
In the armor department, you can pick gold, tungsten, or platinum armor. All of these armor sets will be sufficient to get you through the fight. Try getting your hands on Hermes Boots for flying around quickly.

If you’re into sea adventure stuff, you might already know what a chambered nautilus is. For those who don’t, a nautilus has tentacles like an octopus and a shell-like a snail.
Now, what does this have to do with Terraria? Turns out, a lot. Because Dreadnautilus is a mini-boss that you will face in Hardmode.
Summoning Dreadnautilus can be a challenge. In fact, this is one of the hardest enemies to summon. First of all, you need to remember that Dreadnautilus has to be defeated during the night. At the crack of the dawn, this nautilus will go poof and despawn.

Now, there’s only one way to summon Dreadnautilus. You have to fish this guy out during a Blood Moon. To increase your chances of meeting Dreadnautilus, you can use a Chum Caster.
Of course, this doesn’t guarantee that Dreadnautilus will take the bait since this boss only has a 10% chance of spawning. Instead, you might end up catching Wandering Eye Fish, Zombie Merman, Blood Eel, and Hemogoblin Shark.
Defeating Dreadnautilus can be hard. During the fight, you might think – is this really a mini-boss? But don’t worry, defeating the boss is easier than summoning it.
Dreadnautilus charges at you, throws red projectiles and also spawns blood squids. It does all it can to slay you. So you’ll want to slay the squids and take cover from the projectiles. The boss also has high defense, so you should consider using an Ichor debuff.
Every good fighter sharpens their weapon before a battle. In Terraria, you need to pick the right weapon before doing so. To finish off these annoying squids and focus on the boss, you should use the Blade Staff.

You can shield yourself from the projectiles by hiding under blocks. The trick is to make a box and use weapons that can go through the walls. For instance, Summons will make this battle easier. Or you could use Daedalus Stormbow with Ichor Arrows.
Now, if you’re looking forward to fighting this flying nautilus, you better get a sonar potion. This will give you an idea if you’ll be fishing out Dreadnautilus (more like a heads-up).
Lastly, don't forget to seize the Sanguine Staff that drops!

MOBAs are a game genre that have almost everything working against them. at least on paper. They’re highly competitive and demanding multiplayer games where every player’s performance and abilities matter in determining the outcome of a match. Match lengths are pretty long, too, and if anyone rage-quits, the momentum of a match swings hard in favor of the team with more players.
All of these problems are exacerbated on mobile, where people are used to short play sessions in games they can drop in and out of. This is probably the reason why the turnover of games in this genre is so high on smaller screens. With the release of League of Legends: Wild Rift, we took a look on the App Store to find the best MOBAs that still have active communities. Check out our picks below.
Even though it’s a relative newcomer to iOS, League of Legends: Wild Rift has established itself as the mobile MOBA to beat. This comes as no surprise, as Riot Games has been the long-standing steward of the most popular MOBA on PC already, but it’s nice to see a lot of effort going into this streamlined interpretation of League of Legends.

Arena of Valor occupies a strange space on mobile now that League of Legends: Wild Rift exists. It’s an extremely similar game that’s owned by the same parent company, but it has a handful of important differences that might make it the MOBA for you. In general, these changes make for a speedier and lighter experience that don’t require as much micromanagement and upkeep during a match, allowing you to focus more on team fighting.

Pokémon UNITE is probably the friendliest mobile MOBA you can dive into, but it departs from genre conventions in many key ways. It feels more sport-like with its use of scoring hoops and timed matches, but it also somehow retains the team-oriented, objective-based gameplay that makes MOBAs so replayable and deep. There might be a time where you feel you need a little more than what this game offers, but it's some of the most immediate fun you can have if you're a newcomer to the genre, and it always feels good to duke things out playing as your favorite Pokémon.

Onmyoji Arena is a MOBA set in the universe of Onmyoji, a gacha game steeped in Japanese mythology. It’s perhaps most remarkable for presenting a cohesive aesthetic, as most other MOBAs are just a grab bag of character designs from all kinds of different genres. Onmyoji also distinguishes itself in shaking up standard MOBA roles, making for room for some distinct playstyles.

Extraordinary Ones is a MOBA that aims for general weirdness. You can play as a witch girl who attacks with a frog puppet, a bear wielding a giant alarm clock, or a woman with a giant fan, to name a few of the off-beat character designs. It presents its battles as schoolyard fights that are broadcast on TV, too. It is a wonkier take on the genre, for sure, but a fun one at that.
