Apple’s free app of the week: Blek

Apple’s free app of the week: Blek

September 08, 2016 by macjeff

Apple on Thursday updated its App of the Week promotion with the game Blek. This critically-acclaimed title is an Apple Design Award-Winner, and for the next few days you can get it for free on both iPhone and iPad—a solid savings of $3.

The goal in Blek is simple: shape a line that collects all colored circles while avoiding black holes on its route. There are no specific moves to master, and potential level solutions range from delightfully simple to exceptionally deep and complex.

From the App Store Editors’ Notes:

If you can doodle, you can play this one-of-a-kind Apple Design Award winner. Just draw a line—any line—and watch it spring to life across the screen, following your gestures to collect colored dots and avoid black holes. But as the holes form increasingly elaborate obstacles, only the most ingenious doodles will do. With endless solutions to every challenge, it’s a stylish, supremely satisfying test of your creativity and puzzle-solving prowess.

And here is a clip of the game in action:

Blek is available in the App Store for free.
