Idle Miner Tycoon is a Downright Addicting Game to Play

February 21, 2019 by RSS Feed

Reviewed by Sarah Hanlon

It’s not often that I find a game so fun to play that I’ll keep it on my phone long after the review is published. This is one game that has secured its place on my list of instant hits.

Idle Miner Tycoon, created by Kolibri Games GmbH, is an incredibly fun and addicting game for iPhone and Android. I guarantee you’ll find it very hard to put down.

In fact, it’s so addicting that I had a difficult time putting the phone down even to write this review.

Concept and Gameplay:

If you enjoy playing games that require you to start with nothing and build from scratch, Idle Miner Tycoon is perfect for you.

In fact, one of the mind-boggling aspects of the game is that it rewards you even more if you don’t play it. A strange idea, but stick with me.

The goal of Idle Miner Tycoon is to build up your mines and make as much money as you can. The latter is surprisingly easy in the beginning, but as your levels increase, the amount required to upgrade them increases, too.

Managers are a very important part of the game because they can give you a significant boost. You can acquire managers for your mines, your elevator, and your warehouse.

Features:

Idle Miner Tycoon iPhone Game

As I mentioned above, Idle Miner Tycoon rewards you even more for not playing it. If you leave the game or change mine locations, your miners will continue to rake in cash for you. If you choose, you can watch an ad to double the amount they’ve earned.

Unfortunately ads are a vital part of the game if you want to get ahead. You can watch a 30 second ad to unlock a production boost for 4 hours, reduce the time require to open barriers and expand your mines, or sell equipment managers back for full price.

However, ads don’t pop up in the middle of the game. Personally I’d rather willingly watch an ad than be bombarded by them at random intervals.

Value:

Idle Miner Tycoon is available to download from the App Store and Google Play for free. Naturally there are in-app purchases for boosts, but that’s true for most free games.

Overall, Idle Miner Tycoon is both addicting and fun to play. I truly had a difficult time putting it down, and I’ll likely pick it up again very soon.

Idle Miner Tycoon requires iOS 8.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
