This week’s edition of our Apps of the Week roundup include a new safe and anonymous social network, a different kind of weather app, and an extremely powerful photo editor. And as always, we’ve selected two great new games for you to check out.
Trill Project
Trill Project describes itself as an “anonymous and safe social network.” Now I know new social networks usual generate eye rolls, but with all of the outrage online these days, a safe and anonymous place to talk about hot button issues doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. Features include moderated communities based on your interests, tags, and more. I don’t know if this Project is ‘Trill,” but it’s certainly interesting.
WTHRD
Just think, TV and radio forecasts, thermometers and weather apps, all exist for two purposes: to tell you what you can do outdoors and what you can wear. WTHRD helps you answer the latter. It provides accurate 24-hour and 7-day forecasts, and a charming full-screen graphic tells you what to wear. There are various male and female characters, animated real-time weather conditions, favorite cities and destinations, and more.
Artstudio Pro
The developers bill Artstudio Pro as the “most powerful painting and photo editing app available for both iOS and macOS.” The successor to our famous ArtStudio app has been redesigned bringing many new features and improvements taking full advantage of the latest technologies Metal, iCloud Drive, Apple Pencil, and optimized for 64-bit multi-core processors to achieve the smoothest possible workflow.
Super Drop Land
Super Drop Land is a platformer that drops you into an unforgettable vertical adventure! Collect, chase and flip your way down through each land, but stay clear of the ghosts! Features include 10 different lands to play through, more than 15 puzzles to solve, colorful costumes, special powers and more.
Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind
Looking for a different kind of game to play this weekend? Check out Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind. It combines interactive stories and turn-based strategy, and there are over 400 interactive scenes with multiple outcomes. Short episodes and automatic saving mean you can play even when you only have a minute or two. The built-in saga writes down the story for you. And advisors with distinctive personalities help you along the way.
